Kansas City Athletics 1960 Authentic All Satin Varsity Jacket- Navy
AUTHENTIC ALL SATIN JACKET WORN BY THE 1960 KC ATHLETICS
History: The A's moved from Philadelphia to Kansas City in 1955, which improved the club's attendance but not its prospects in the American League standings. They were taken for several one-sided trades over the years (including one that brought Roger Maris to New York), leading many to consider them a de-facto New York Yankees farm club. Standouts on the 1960 squad included Whitey Herzog and future Mets "great" first baseman Marvelous Marv Throneberry.
This is an authentic Kansas City Athletics jacket from 1960, made with navy vintage satin, twill lettering, and leather pocket trim.
