Homestead Grays 1945 Authentic Wool Ballcap
THE AUTHENTIC 1945 HOMESTEAD GRAYS ON-FIELD BALLCAP
History: An undeniable powerhouse club, the Homestead Grays won nine consecutive league titles and three Negro World Series championships from 1937 to ‘48. In 1931, the Grays’ prolific lineup featured five future Hall of Famers.
A reproduction of the on-field lid worn by the Grays in 1945, a squad led by Hall of Famer Josh Gibson, this ballcap is made with genuine wool broadcloth and finished with a felt “G” on the front, just like back in the day. Like everything we make at Ebbets, this cap has period-correct materials, lettering, sleeve patches, and trim, crafting a tribute to those who came before us the best way we know how.
In partnership with the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum (NLBM), we are proud to offer this authentic wool ballcap. A portion of proceeds from this product will support the NLBM in Kansas City. For more information about the museum, visit www.nlbm.com
