Rainier EFF Vintage Beer T-Shirt - Red
History: First sold by Seattle Brewery, Rainier Beer started pouring in the Georgetown neighborhood in 1878. Rainier, carrying the name of the mountain prominently visible throughout the region, rose to its greatest prominence following the repeal of Prohibition. The company was acquired by a pair of brewing brothers from Lethbridge, Alberta, Fritz and Emil Sick. The brand became ubiquitous around Seattle, with ads appearing everywhere. The advertising and marketing efforts were bolstered when Emil Sick purchased a local baseball team and named them the Seattle Rainiers, using the brand’s signature ‘R’ logo as the primary mark for the team. That ‘R’ can still be found being worn by the Seattle Mariners’ AAA affiliate the Tacoma Rainiers, and adorning cans and clothing throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
