San Francisco 49ers French Terry Hooded Sweatshirt
History: The San Francisco 49ers began play in 1946 as charter members of the All American Football Conference (AAFC) in which they produced 4 straight winning seasons before joining the NFL in 1950. That decade produced outstanding offensive performances by Pro Football Hall of Famers Y.A. Tittle, Joe Perry, and Hugh McElhenny. Quarterback John Brodie took over the reigns at quarterback throughout a mediocre 1960s and held on for Head Coach Dick Nolan as he lead the Niners to 3 straight Western Division finishes from 1970-1972. Brodie had help from running back Ken Willard and wide receiver Gene Washington. While the Pittsburgh Steelers owned the NFL in the 1970's, the 1980's belonged to the 49ers as they won 4 Super Bowl titles with Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Montana and wide receiver Jerry Rice leading the way. They would add one more Super Bowl in 1989 with yet another Hall of Fame quarterback at the helm in Steve Young. Today, the San Francisco 49ers are currently members of the NFC Western Division and play their games in Levi's Stadium, Santa Clara, California.
