Homestead Grays 1944 Authentic Wool Road Baseball Jersey
AN EXACT REPLICA OF THE ON-FIELD UNIFORM WORN BY THE 1944 GRAYS
History: An undeniable powerhouse club, the Homestead Grays won nine consecutive league titles and three Negro World Series championships from 1937 to ‘48. In 1931, the Grays’ prolific lineup featured five future Hall of Famers.
A reproduction of the on-field uniform the Grays wore during their 1944 pennant-winning season, this jersey is authentic down to the last detail, including period-correct materials, lettering, sleeve patches, and trim. The back is adorned with the number 18, which was worn by Negro leagues legend Cool Papa Bell, the “fastest man in baseball.”
In partnership with the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum (NLBM), we are proud to offer this authentic wool flannel jersey. A portion of proceeds from this product will support the NLBM in Kansas City. For more information about the museum, visit www.nlbm.com
