AN HOMAGE TO THE BLACK YANKEES' ON-FIELD CAPS

History: Originally named the Harlem Stars, the New York Black Yankees were founded in the summer of 1932. They spent their first years barnstorming across the country, sometimes playing doubleheaders in different states on successive days. They officially joined the Negro National League in 1936, where they played until their final season in 1948. Hall of Famer Satchel Paige had a stint with the Black Yankees, and other notable players from the team include “Fats” Jenkins, Ted “Double Duty” Radcliffe, “Mule” Suttles, and others.

Our twill ballcap pays tribute to the on-field caps worn during that era while providing the comfort, breathability, and versatility of cotton. Featuring classic Ebbets details such as our signature satin green underbrim and satin binding, this hat is an easy-wearing wardrobe staple.

In partnership with the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum (NLBM), we are proud to offer this cotton twill ballcap. A portion of proceeds from this product will support the NLBM in Kansas City. For more information about the museum, visit www.nlbm
