AUTHENTIC REPLICA OF THE 1942 MONARCHS JERSEY, WORN BY STAR SATCHEL PAIGE

History: One of the most renowned Negro Leagues teams of all time, the Kansas City Monarchs produced fourteen Hall of Famers, from Bullet Rogan in the 1920s to Jackie Robinson in the 1940s and Ernie Banks in the early 1950s. Made up of players from the All Nations barnstorming team and the Army’s 25th Infantry Wreckers, the Monarchs got their start in 1920 and played through 1965.

In a career that spanned 40 years, legendary pitcher Satchel Paige (#25) famously played anywhere he could collect a paycheck. Paige has been officially credited as playing for 17 different professional ballclubs in five different countries. However, Paige is most associated with his time playing for the Kansas City Monarchs. In particular while playing in this uniform and leading the Monarchs to their ninth league pennant and second Negro World Series title in 1942.

In partnership with the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum (NLBM), we are proud to offer this authentic wool flannel jersey. A portion of proceeds from this product will support the NLBM in Kansas City. For more information about the museum, visit www.nlbm.com
