History: The Chicago Bears franchise began in 1920 when the team was known as the Decatur Staleys. They were led by player/coach George Halas. By the end of his illustrious career, George "Papa Bear" Halas was an 8 time NFL Champion and 2 time Coach of the Year. His influence on the NFL is unparalleled.
From his co-founding of the league itself, to bringing the T-formation to life and the recruitment of College Star Red Grange to the Bears, "Mr. Everything" indeed did it all.
