Product Details
History: While the origin of the team’s nickname is unknown, the Crackers represented Atlanta, Georgia from 1884-1965. In 1947, the club featured a young star named Charley Trippi, who posted a .334 batting average for the season. However, 1947 would be Trippi’s only year in professional baseball. After the season, he signed a professional contract with the NFL’s Chicago Cardinals, where he went on to a Hall of Fame football career playing quarterback, halfback, defensive back, punter, and kick returner.
