History: The Long Beach 49ers captured their 2nd California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) title in 1969. They were led by hurler Randy Moffitt, the brother of tennis legend Billie Jean King. Moffit went on to play twelve mostly successful years in the Major Leagues. Currently, the "Dirt Bags" (as they are more often referred to due to their gritty play and determination) are currently members of the Big West Conference and play their home games at Blair Field.
