Hollywood Stars 1940 Authentic Wool Ballcap- Red
THE EXACT STAR EMBLEM USED WITH THE 1940 HOLLYWOOD STARS TEAM
History: The Stars came up with uniforms with a brash red, white & blue design scheme to accompany their move into new Gilmore Field in 1939. The team was owned by restaurateur Bob Cobb (originator of the Cobb salad), and attracted the elite of the Hollywood entertainment industry. The Stars and their cross-town rivals, the Angels, were displaced in 1958 when the Dodgers moved to Los Angeles.
This is an authentic reproduction of the original 1940 Hollywood Stars ballcap worn in the Pacific Coast League, hand-sewn from genuine wool baseball cloth and finished with felt detailing.
