History: The 1917 Northwestern Wildcats baseball team was managed by Notre Dame grad and former professional baseball player "Wee" Willie McGill.
"There are some very likely youngsters among the freshman who, under McGill's tutelage, should develop into valuable men." (Syllabus yearbook)
The team finished with a 4-4 record in what would be McGill's first and last season at the helm. The Wildcats of today play their home games in Rocky Miller Park in Evanston, Illinois.
