Little Rock Travelers

With the pool of baseball talent depleted by America's young men off fighting in World War II, the Travelers fielded 34-year-old "Leaky" Buck Fausett at third base in 1942. Although Fausett hit an admirable .334 for the '42 Travelers, his career is most notable for an occurrence in his final professional game, in 1944 with the Cincinnati Reds, when he was replaced in a game by 15-year-old Joe Nuxhall, the youngest player to ever see action in the Major Leagues.
