History: This flannel was worn by the Almendares team that won the Cuban League and thus went to Caracas, Venezuela, to represent Cuba at the 1959 Caribbean Series. Cuba finished 5-1 against Venezuela, Panama, and Puerto Rico to win the Caribbean title. When Fidel ended professional baseball in Cuba in 1961, the country no longer competed in the Caribbean Series until finally returning in 2013.
