History: Fort Wayne, Indiana has been a member of the Class A Midwest League – and for one season High-A Central in 2021 – since 1993. Now playing as the Fort Wayne Tin Caps, the team was originally known as the Fort Wayne Wizards. The Wizards served as a Minor League affiliate for the Minnesota Twins from ’93-’98, and the San Diego Padres since ’99. Many players put on a Wizards jersey on their route to the Big Leagues, including Torii Hunter and Jake Peavy. Although the Tin Caps now play at Parkview Field, the Wizards played at Memorial Stadium in Johnny Appleseed Park.
