History: After the Mud Hens moved to Charleston in June of 1952, the Milwaukee Braves put a new team in the Glass City in 1953. Knowns as the Glass Sox, or just Sox, Toledo's new entry squeaked by the Kansas City Blues by one game to capture the 1953 pennant. The team was moved to Wichita in 1956 and a "new" Mud Hens team joined the International League in 1965.
