League: Collegiate Baseball
History: George Bohler was a college coach at a time when that job required wearing a number of different hats, literally and figuratively. A former (very briefly) professional and collegiate basketball player, Bohler - like many of his contemporaries - coached multiple sports, primarily basketball and football. His coaching career started at the University of Oregon where he started as the basketball coach for the Ducks in 1920 before also coaching the baseball team starting in 1921. In that first season in charge his Ducks team went 6-13, which proved to be their best record under Bohler during his tenure as they amassed a total of 5 wins over the following two seasons before Bohler eventually moved on to Mississippi College having put together a record of 11-43 in his time coaching U of O Baseball.
